Spring characteristic is first calculated using a classic method that has been included in a computer program. To check the accuracy and usability of different methods, the calculations were also made with the use of the finite element method. First the principle of small deformations (IDEAS 5.0) and then the principle of large deformations (ANSYS 5.0a) were used. In the last case the loads measured on a coordinate measurement machine were used. Time strength of the stabilising bar was determined using finite elements method for large deformations.},
