	abstract = {At present, there are about 160 000 farm tractors in Slovenia. In the transmission system there is from 30 to 100 litres of lubrication oil which is normally changed once a year. Due to the fact, that in Slovenia we manage to collect just a small amount of used oils, we can conclude that the majority of these oils are being spilled to the environment. During this project a new biodegradable, non-toxic rapeseed based universal tractor transmission oil (UTTO) has been fabricated with biodegradability of 99,6% (CEC-L-A-93). The properties of this new oil were investigated in standard test procedures in comparison with the commercially available UTTO oils.},
